Your group can pick any day starting from May 15 through October 15, Monday to Saturday, to ride along the Columbia Gorge Historic Highway. This all-day affair includes our Tandem EZ Model 2EZ Tandem Bikes, delivery, pickup, and vehicle support. The Riding distance is up to you, but we recommend planning an 18-26 mile ride so you can make stops at some waterfalls on the way out and catch others on your return.
A few recommendations:
- Start at Latourelle Falls and ride to Horsetail Falls and back. Have lunch at the Multnomah Falls Lodge and visit a few different places, both going and on your way back. Latourelle, Bridal Veil, Wahkeena, Multnomah, and Horsetail Falls. 18 miles (29km). Before meeting us at Latourelle Falls and starting your ride today, first visit the Women’s Forum and Vista House.
- Start at Ainsworth Park Wayside and ride to Latourelle and back with lunch on the way back. Horsetail, Multnomah, Wahkeena, Bridal Veil, and Latourelle. Falls. 20 miles (32km). If you still have time in your rental period and energy, ride on past Ainsworth to Bonneville Dam Visitors Centre and view the Columbia River Sturgeon. (or do this by car after returning the bikes). This round trip will add 6 miles (10km) to your ride today.
- Start at Cascade Locks and view the Columbia River Sturgeons at Bonneville Dam Visitors Center before starting a longer ride to Latourelle Falls and Back. Rucket Creek, Horsetail, Multnomah, Wahkeena, Bridal Veil, and Latourelle Falls. 26 miles (42km)
- Start at Wyeth State Park and Ride to Viento State Park, a little beyond, and then return with views of different waterfalls along the way. Hole in the Wall, Cabin Creek, and Starvation Creek Falls. 12 miles (20km) riding round-trip. After returning the bikes at Wyeth State Park, get back in your cars and go down the road a ways on I-84 to the Mitchell Point Overlook and restored Tunnel. A fantastic exploration! A fantastic day.
- Challenging: Start in Cascade Locks and ride to Viento State Park and return with views of different waterfalls along the way. Hole in the Wall, Cabin Creek, and Starvation Creek Falls. 22 miles (35km) riding round-trip. 1,200-foot climbs are involved in this one.
